A VOICE FOR THE CITIZENS

Moving Forward
While Keeping
Our Small Town Charm

STEVE CHIZMAR

Experience that Matters

As a member of the community for over 60 years, I have seen the changes that have taken place in our town. I believe in preserving our historic downtown area while promoting economic development by repurposing properties, not by tearing them down to build large, out-of-character projects.  We need to protect our small town way of life before its taken away from us.

I will work more closely with County Government and the business community to assist in redeveloping our downtown area, and with the Board of Education to reduce overcrowding in our schools.

As a lifelong resident of Bel Air, I understand the challenges that we face. We must adapt to the times for our town to stay relevant.  As we adapt and grow we can do so thoughtfully without compromising our identity.  That is why I am committed to being a voice for the citizens. I want to get the citizen's input on their vision of the Town's future through Town Hall meetings, where there is a meaningful dialogue  and exchange of ideas.  I want the governing process to be more transparent with timely sharing of all public information  and televised Board of Commissioner and Committee meetings.  With your support, we can make a positive difference in our town.
